vBuy
Sales Note Reporting
vBuy allows the first buyer of fish landings to report the transaction in an electronic format. The data is registered and transferred to the fishery authorities for final inspection and reporting.
vBuy is currently a conceptual solution based on experiences from two previously developed special solutions to national fishing authorities. These solutions were developed before the agreement of a common EU legislation, Commission Regulation (EC) 1566/2007, which requires that each member state sets up systems to handle electronic recording and reporting of fishing activities.
vBuy is at present available for cooperation to finalize a concept ready for implementation. Sirius IT can be contacted in order to influence and participate in the development of this solution. Cooperation for a solution to support the challenges in the fishing industry has proven successful for the concepts vCatch, vTrack og vCheck.
Outline of the concept behind vBuy
The reasoning behind vBuy is to ensure data on fish landings by reporting of the transaction by the first buyer. The data is registered and transferred to the fishery authorities for final inspection and reporting.
Internet auction and registration of sales
When the selling of the day is done, it is time to send data of the sales to the fishery authorities. vBuy offers two different electronic channels to hand in data. The buyer can use his own Economic- and Finance system to extract and send the data automatically. vBuy receives data from a wide range of systems. The buyer can also deliver the data manually in a web form. Only part of the data is typed. Other data is prefilled by the system. vBuy handles both logging and exchange of data.
Ease of Use
vBuy makes the registration easy for all parties involved. The buyers and auctions have user access to the logbook from a web browser and by a secure line to the vBuy server. Buyers and auctions also have access to see all sent and pending sales notes.
User Driven Development
vBuy is set up to add more value than the basic requirements of the EU legislations. The development is an ongoing process and proceeds in accordance with the users and their specific needs. Users can suggest new functions and features. In the end customers and their users prioritise all incoming ideas. The customers are invited to participate as a partner in the support and maintenance program. Daily routines, new needs and user feedback will continuously be used to adjust and develop the product.
Your influence in a new market standard
vBuy is currently offered for cooperation on a finalized concept ready for implementation and sale as a standard product. Your authority can, by partnership commitment, influence the final standard product and also ensure a fast implementation. A maintenance and support programme will be part of the final product.
