Preem AB has signed a new and extended agreement with Sirius IT which covers application management and development of their account card system.
The cooperation with Preem began in 1995. Sirius IT has since then been in charge of the development and application management of their solution.
"Preem is a costumer who puts high demands on their IT system. It is therefore very satisfying for us that we can provide the right IT solution to them”, says Andreas Wikholm, CEO of Sirius IT Sweden.
Preem AB is the largest oil company in Sweden and accounts for 80% of the Swedish refinery capacity and 30% of the Nordic refinery capacity.
"Sirius IT has shown that they are a reliable supplier, who stands for high quality and competence. We have therefore chosen not only to continue but also to expand our cooperation", says Markku Juopperi from Preem AB.
Preem carries on extensive trading in and refining of crude oil as well as sales of products to oil companies active both in Sweden and internationally, primarily in north-west Europe. Over 60% of the production is exported, which means that Preem is one of the largest exporters in Sweden.
The two refineries - Preemraff Lysekil and Preemraff Gothenburg are among the most modern in Europe. In total, 18 million m3 are refined each year making Preem the biggest refiner in the Nordic region.
Sales of gasoline, diesel and heating oils on the Swedish market take place through the company's own marketing channels, wholly-owned subsidiaries and service stations to private customers and small and large companies. Wholesaling also takes place to other oil companies active on the Swedish market.
