Andreas Wikholm is appointed new managing director for Sirius IT in Sweden. He will begin his appointment on 1 September 2008.
Today Andreas Wikholm, 34 years old, is business area manager in Sirius IT in Sweden. He will succeed Kim Winther Jensen, who now returns to his role as CEO for the Nordic Sirius IT concern full-time.
- We have every reason to be satisfied with the development of Sirius IT in the 18 months, which has passed since the separation from TietoEnator, says Kim Winther Jensen.
Businessman with experience from the public sector and elitist sports
Andreas Wikholm has been responsible for some of Sirius IT’s largest customers like Stockholms stad and Vetenskapsrådet. Originally he is educated within public health from Karolinska Institutet, and at the age of nineteen he took up his first management position within Care Stockholms läns landsting. Later he as worked as a management consultant with focus on the public sector. Latest within TietoEnator’s business area Government Services, that later became Sirius IT. Furthermore, Andreas Wikholm has been an active top-class athlete and has played ice hockey on Team Kiruna and Lidingö HC among others.
- Andreas has a magnificent ability to create good relations to both customers and employees. I am convinced that with his competence and strong personality he will be a splendid manager of the Swedish company, says Kim Winther Jensen.
Threefold increase in income statement in Sweden
The interim statement of the Nordic IT concern Sirius IT, which was presented 2 weeks ago, shows a turnover of 297 million SEK. The income statement (EBITDA) is increased significantly from 23 million SEK to 41 million SEK.
- In the Swedish company we have increased the income statement from 3.9 million SEK for the first 6 months in 2007 to 11.6 million SEK in the same period this year. The company is robust, and the culture is settled. On this background this is a perfect time to transfer the position as general manager to Andreas Wikholm, says Kim Winther Jensen.
Focus on growth in 2009
- Now Sirius IT must focus on proper growth. The key-word for us in 2008 was sturdiness, but in 2009 it will be growth. And the fact that web tools have become extremely business critical for authorities as well as companies fits us like a glove, says Andreas Wikholm, the coming managing director of Sirius IT in Sweden.
