Java System Architect
The Java system architect performs consulting and analysis and design of overall IT systems with specific competence within Java Enterprise Edition (Java EE) ver. 5.
A Java system architect’s responsibilities lie within analysis and design of Java solutions. To be able to handle this task the system architect possesses a broad and long-term experience with developing and programming solutions on the Java platform. The system architect has worked intensively with developing systems for content management, web publishing, integration, e-commerce, digital signature, server programming and web-based client-server systems.
The Java system architect participates as a consultant in the analysis and design phases and contributes significantly to the requirement specification, solution design and solution descriptions. The system architect is the technical coordinator through the entire development process in the development-, test- and deployment phases, and he guarantees for the technical quality of the project. The system architect contributes often substantially to prototyping and any coding and programming of the project, or especially critical parts of a project.
The Java system architect is responsible for establishing and implementing the development model and for quality assurance of this model.
In projects where the Java system architect is also appointed technical project manager, he executes the daily technical management, and he has the direct contact to the development team(s) of the project.
The Java system architect also acts as support for the administrative project manager through the entire project.
Profile
Sirius IT’s Java system architects typically have a university degree or a master degree, such as a computer scientist and has between 5 and 10 years commercial experience with development within the Java EE platform.
