Open Source Java

Sirius IT is among Denmark’s leading suppliers of open source solutions based on a broad range of open source products, including the Red Hat JBoss suite.

Our ambition is to hold and maintain Denmark’s strongest open source Java competence. It is our humble opinion that this goal is almost reached, since we, as one of very few Danish companies, have several years experience with developing large business critical systems based on open source Java. We have had much success with employing especially Jboss as the platform for developing business applications together with our customers.

Sirius IT has managed large open source-based development tasks with The Danish Commerce and Companies Agency (DCCA) and the Danish Directorate of Fisheries.

In addition to JBoss we master the following products among others: Jakarta, Hibernate, Mule ESB, Ant, Maven, Eclipse, MySQL, Mondrian, Kettle, Pentaho and others

Pragmatic Open Source

We take great pride in combining open source systems with not-open source systems, so that the customers existing investments in their IT portfolio are not wasted, but on the contrary can be exploited to the maximum. We call it ”pragmac open source”.

Our Consultants

Our Java department has very deep experience with and knowledge of open source development, and several of our consultants commit to large open source projects, including Mule and Eclipse.

RedHat Partnership

As a natural extension of our long-time experience with implementation of solutions based on open source Java, we in Sirius IT have formalised our competence in a partnership with RedHat, who is the absolute world leading supplier of Linux and open source.

The partnership with RedHat enables us to continuously to enhance our competence level within open source and especially Jboss, witch is marked leading within open source software, and which is a division of RedHat.
