Project Management
The project managers use Sirius IT’s project management method Praktisk Projektstyring (PPS), alternatively PRINCE2, in which more of Sirius IT’s project managers are certified. Sirius IT has made a mapping between PPS and PRINCE2.
The role of the project manager is to offer professional project management and control of large as well as small IT development project. The project manager completes the project in close cooperation and dialogue with the customer’s project manager.
The Project Manager’s Areas of Responsibility
The project manager has the general responsibility towards the customer in relation to economy, schedule, and minutes of meetings, functionality, risk management, change management and reporting as agreed in the contractual terms of reference.
Within the contractual financial frames, the schedule, and functionality the project manager has the daily responsibility of management and control of Sirius IT’s development team(s) in relation to completion of the project.
The project manager is responsible for the project’s quality, for product deliveries and for cooperation through the entire project. Furthermore, it is the project manager’s responsibility that Sirius IT’s development team(s) work proactively at all levels in the delivery process, in relation to any difficult issues and in relation to consultancy of the customer.
The project manager is responsible to and will typically participate in the internal steering committee, which is established in Sirius IT’s organisation as part of larger delivery projects, to manage the overall control with the project.
